Toffee Bars
A cookies & candy favorite from the Martell family cookbook, shared by Brigit Kennedy Martell.
Make something worth remembering.
Method
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg yolk and vanilla. Gradually add flour. Batter should be moist and creamy. Spray a jelly roll pan. Spread batter in pan.
- Bake at 350°Fs for 10 minutes. Edges will be light brown and middle will be puffy. Immediately lay chocolate bar sections on top of crust. When melted and glossy, spread chocolate and top with almonds. Cool completely.
