Toasted Milk Powder
A five-minute technique for adding nutty, caramelized depth to any ice cream base.
Make something worth remembering.
Toast
- Heat a dry skillet over medium-low heat.
- Add the milk powder and stir constantly for 3–5 minutes.
- Stop when the powder is light golden brown and smells nutty, marshmallow-like, and slightly caramelized.
Use
- Cool and use in butter pecan, banana, or vanilla ice cream bases.
Family note

Stop at light golden brown. The powder should smell a little nutty and marshmallow-like, never burnt.
