Swedish Christmas Cookies
A cookies & candy favorite from the Martell family cookbook, shared by Judy Fredericks Martell.
Make something worth remembering.
Method
- Beat the sugar and shortening together using a mixer until light and fluffy. Add the egg yolks and the flour on low until thoroughly mixed. Chill for at least one hour. Roll into I" balls. Roll the balls in the egg white, then in the nuts. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and flatten with a flat bottom glass dipped in sugar. Bake in a 300 degree oven for about 20 minutes. Remove to a cookie rack and cool.
