Standard Creamy Ice Cream Base
The dependable, no-cook base behind a freezer full of family favorites.
Make something worth remembering.
Make the base
- Whisk the sugar and dry milk powder into the milk until completely dissolved.
- Add the heavy cream, corn syrup, vanilla, and salt. Whisk thoroughly.
Chill
- Chill for 20 minutes in the freezer, stirring once halfway through, or for 10–15 minutes in an ice bath.
Churn & set
- Churn for 18–25 minutes, until the mixture reaches a thick soft-serve consistency.
- Transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze for 1–2 hours for an ideal scoopable texture.
