Method

Make something worth remembering.

Method

  1. For 2 - 8 or 9" layers:
  2. 2 egg whites 1 1/2 cups sugar 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar OR 1 T light corn syrup 1/3 cup water For 13X9" oblong:
  3. 1 egg white 3/4 cup sugar 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar OR 1 1/2 teaspoons light corn syrup 3 T water Place over boiling water and beat with a rotary beater until mixture stands in stiff peaks. Scrape bottom and sides of pan occasionally. Fold in 1 teaspoon (1/2 teaspoon) vanilla.
  4. Variation: Follow recipe above - except use juice from frozen or fresh strawberries in place of the water.
  5. David likes this frosting on his birthday cakes. My mixer tends to blow the bumer out, so I didn't make it very often.
