Scott's Honey Baked Ham

Make something worth remembering.

Method

  1. Mix all of the spices and sugar in a small bowl. Lay down a couple of sheets of wax paper. Spread sugar mixture on wax paper evenly.
  2. Roll ham in sugar mixture so that it is well coated. Do not coat the flat end of the ham.
  3. Tum the ham onto its flat end on a plate. The fun part - use a blow torch with a medium-size flame to caramelize the sugar. Wave the torch with rapid movement, so that the sugar bubbles and browns, but does not burn. Spin the plate and torch the entire surface of the ham. Repeat the coating and caramelizing process until the ham has been well-glazed (don't repeat to use all of the sugar.) Serve cold or reheated.
