English Toffee
English Toffee is a favorite cookie or candy featuring good margarine, light brown sugar, chopped walnuts, preserved from the family cookbook.

Make something worth remembering.
Method
- Place margarine and sugar in a 2-quart pan over low heat. Stir constantly to a full boil.
- Boil until 290°F, stirring occasionally. Add nuts and pour into a 9 X 13" buttered pan. Let stand until set. Place candy bars on warm candy until melted, then spread.
- Sprinkle with the finely chopped nuts. Let cool until chocolate rehardens, then cut or break into pieces.
