Butter Pecan Ice Cream
Brown-sugar ice cream with buttery toasted pecans and a hint of caramel warmth.
Make something worth remembering.
Toast the pecans
- Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat and cook until light brown specks appear.
- Add the pecans and toast for 3–5 minutes, until fragrant.
- Add the brown sugar and salt. Stir until the pecans are glossy and coated, then spread on parchment to cool completely.
Make the base
- Whisk together the base ingredients. Add 1 tablespoon of buttery syrup from the pecan pan if desired, then chill thoroughly.
Churn & set
- Churn until thick and creamy. Add the cooled pecans during the final 30–60 seconds.
- Freeze for 1–2 hours before scooping.
Family note
What makes this ours
Let the pecans cool completely before they meet the churn. They stay crisper, and the ice cream keeps its smooth texture.
