Swiss Steak
I made this dinner a couple of nights ago. Compiling these recipes made me hungry for some of Mom’s great dishes.
Ingredients
1 Round Steak
Flour
1 or 2 cans mushroom sauce
potatoes
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Cut round steak into serving size pieces
Beat them and dip them in flour
Brown for approximately 5 minutes
Add 1 small can of mushroom sauce (I double this)
Add 1/2 cup water
Bake for 1.5 hours or until tender
Check every 1/2 hour to see if it needs more water
Add cut up potatoes and bake for another 1/2 hour
