Swiss Steak

I made this dinner a couple of nights ago. Compiling these recipes made me hungry for some of Mom’s great dishes.

Ingredients

  • 1 Round Steak
  • Flour
  • 1 or 2 cans mushroom sauce
  • potatoes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Cut round steak into serving size pieces
  3. Beat them and dip them in flour
  4. Brown for approximately 5 minutes
  5. Add 1 small can of mushroom sauce (I double this)
  6. Add 1/2 cup water
  7. Bake for 1.5 hours or until tender
  8. Check every 1/2 hour to see if it needs more water
  9. Add cut up potatoes and bake for another 1/2 hour
