Strawberry Pie

Ingredients

  • 3/4 stick of butter
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 tablespoons corn starch
  • 1 cup water
  • 6 tablespoons of dry strawberry Jello
  • Fresh strawberries, sliced
  • Whipped topping

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a pie pan. Mix with the 3 tablespoons of sugar and the flour. Press onto the bottom and sides of the pie pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven until brown. Cool.
  2. Place the sliced strawberries in the pie crust.
  3. In a small pan, combine 1 cup sugar, the cornstarch, and 1 cup water. Cook until thick. Remove from the heat and add the jello. Pour this over the sliced strawberries that are in the pie crust. Cool in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Top with whipped topping, like Cool Whip.
