Spinach Salad

This is a new favorite. If I take this to a potluck, the bowl comes home empty.

Ingredients

Spinach Salad

  • 1 bag washed/dried spinach, torn into bite sized pieces
  • Halved strawberries
  • Canned Mandarin Oranges, drained
  • Crispy Fried Bacon, crumbled
  • Kiwi fruit, sliced
  • Toasted sugar almonds (see recipe below)
  • Dressing (see recipe below)

Dressing

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds
  • 1/2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/4 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar

Toasted Sugar Almonds

  • Sliced Almonds
  • Sugar

Instructions

Spinach Salad

  1. Place all in a large bowl and mix with dressing.

Dressing

  1. Mix all ingredients together

Toasted Sugar Almonds

  1. Cook sliced almonds in a generous amount of sugar in a frying pan over medium heat until sugar is melted.
  2. Cool, breaking apart as they cool.
Be careful not to burn the almonds
