Hamburger Stroganoff

This is a delicious meal! Mom and Dad came to my house every evening the first week after Andrew and Allison were born and cooked dinner. What a blessing! This recipe filled our town house with the smell of onion, so David and I wondered about it. It turned out to be our favorite and we requested it when Allison was born. You have to try it! Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup onion, minced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 1 pound ground beef, uncooked
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 pound button mushrooms
  • 1 can Cream of Chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Saute the onion and garlic in margarine.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook.
  3. Add the flour.  Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Add the mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Add the Cream of Chicken soup and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
  6. Add the sour cream and heat through.
