Fudge

Ingredients

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 2/3 cups hersheys cocoa
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 or 9×9 sq pan with buttered aluminum foil or parchment paper
  2. Combine sugar, cocoa, salt in a pot over medium heat
  3. Stir in milk
  4. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly
  5. Bring to a full rolling boil
  6. Reduce to simmer and cook to 234 degrees (soft ball stage)
  7. Remove from heat.
  8. Add butter and vanilla
  9. Let cool until it reaches 110 degrees
  10. Beat it until it thickens and begins to lose its gloss
  11. Pour into sq pan and let set
