Butterscotch Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch
  • 2 eggs separated
  • Pie crust

Instructions

  1. Beat egg yolks, then add all of the other ingredients except for the egg whites.
  2. Cook using a double boiler until the pie filling is thick.
  3. Place the filling in an already prepared pie crust. Beat the egg whites to stiff peaks and place on the filling.
  4. Bake in a 400 degree oven. (Amount of time was not given.)
