Beef Jerky
Ingredients
1 pound lean round steak
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon tomato sauce
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon dried onion
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
Freeze meat until firm. Cut across grain as thin as possible: 1/8″ thin, 1″ wide.
Combine all of the ingredients and refrigerate for 8 hours.
Place strips of the marinated meat on a cake rack over a cookie sheet in a 140 degree oven for 18 to 24 hours until the edges splinter.
Store in a tightly covered container for 2 to 4 weeks.
